Question: Is this bag fine for a cat? can they scape?
Answer: I think its an ideal size for the average cat. About it being escape proof, well that'd depend on the cat. The front is velcroed shut. Not zippered. This works fine for my yorkie, but cats tend to be more crafty. So, like i said. Depends on the cat :)

Question: I'm reluctant to buy this bag because it seems like the dog might not get enough oxygen in there with only the mesh top. Am I correct in assuming this
Answer: I don't use this to close my dog all the way in I one use it as a carrier where her head can peep out. for the dogs safety I would get a different carrier to enclose him/her all the way
